I brought on my first team member in 2018 and at that time was not aware of any "bookkeeper testing" that was available. When I started going to accounting conferences in 2022 I realized that there were a few but they were generally questions requiring written answers, not an actual test of someone DOING bookkeeping.
When I found Jenny's testing, our firm immediately tried it out on an applicant for Luma Accounting - we were AMAZED with the detail the report provided, the types of things that were tested (actual accounting knowledge, Quickbooks Online navigation skills, etc.) and the commentary Jenny provided based on her watching the candidate go through the hour-long test AND based on any pre-test questions/follow through that they had. We next tested one of our ace team members to see the results on someone we know - and we were thrilled to see that the test results matched what we know to be true.
